At Bellwether, we believe beauty and function go hand-in-hand, so planning and designing your siding replacement and home exterior projects should be just as seamless. We pride ourselves in professionalism and high-quality work, and a big part of those values includes preparedness and streamlined processes. Our sales and design teams work together to understand your needs, your siding design goals, your budget—and to make sure that you understand what you’re getting out of your siding replacement.

We know that full transparency is important, especially when it comes to a big investment like new siding, windows, and doors. So what happens when you call Bellwether for your home exterior renovation? Here’s a step-by-step look at our siding design and proposal process.

Establish contact

We want you to reach out on your own terms and timing, and we try to make it easy. Our website has a lot of preliminary information and hopefully answers some of your questions about the siding process and what materials we recommend for siding on Colorado homes. You can reach out to us through the website contact form, chat with a live person via our website messaging, or give us a call at (303) 323-8578. You’ll always be able to reach a real person with real information about Bellwether and how we can take next steps on your home exterior renovation project.

Schedule an initial appointment

If you feel ready to begin the process of re-siding your home, the next step is to set up a consultation appointment. This won’t cost you anything, but it is a great opportunity to learn more about your home’s needs, how to choose siding built for Colorado weather, and what your options are for siding, windows, and doors. This initial appointment is just the beginning of a conversation, where we hope to get to know you and your home.

Meet with a project guide

That initial appointment is held with a project guide. We block two hours for these meetings so that we can take our time to understand your needs and design goals. At this meeting, you can express your concerns and also your wants. The project guide will evaluate your home for damage and challenges, taking photos of the entire exterior to create a 3D rendering. If you would like to move more quickly through the diagnoses and design planning, you can utilize our Hover app and upload exterior photos yourself, creating the 3D rendering ahead of time.

This meeting is also the time to begin dreaming up design. Your project guide can discuss siding materials, siding profiles, siding colors, and other interesting features that might add design quality to your home exterior.

Review siding plan

After this meeting, your siding guide gets to work. Based on your detailed conversations about issues, materials, and design goals, the project guide writes up a proposal that includes the cost of all materials and labor. We want to make sure that you have a full-scale picture of your investment, with no surprises. We are design-oriented, and so all of our proposals include, not only the base work for repairing a home exterior, but a detailed list of everything required to achieve your beautiful design goals.

Approve proposal and schedule work

Depending on the scope of the project, you should receive the project guide’s proposal from within 48 hours to a week. You’ll be able to review the plan for accuracy, as well as costs. We can send this to you as a digital, e-signable document, or we can meet for an in-person signature of approval, depending on your level of comfort. We are open to your needs and questions. At the time of signature, we as for a 20% down payment to begin work. Once that payment is made, we schedule the work on our calendar, and because we work year-round, we can find time that fits your schedule.

Most importantly, we want you to feel comfortable every step of the way. We are up-front about our processes so that you know what to expect, leaving more time and energy for important questions and creative collaboration.
